Be creative with landscape lighting around your home or business.  Landscaping by itself can be a beautiful enhancement to any structure.  Landscape lighting adds subtle changes of elegance to a building.  There are many ways it can be used to show off the landscaping in its best light.

Embedded lights or small standing lights can mark all pathways through the landscape.  The plants can be spotlighted and flooded with light depending on their size and bulk.  Any ponds can be floodlit or have their borders marked to focus the viewer’s attention.

Changing the color of the lights can make a difference in the lighted scene and make for interesting visual presentations.  Putting the colors on a loop can make the scene even more unexpected.  The different colors of the loop will make the landscape appearance change visually under each color.

Lighting the upper part of small trees and bushes will also enhance the landscape beauty.  Special strobe-like lighting can also make for unusual displays.  The various lighting methods can be used together or kept to one or two simple ideas.   The landscape will determine what should be considered and put in place.

The lighting can be solar powered or run off an electrical circuit.  The voltage can be either 12 or 120 volts.  Solar power can be used very effectively in warm climate situations.  The constant sunlight will keep the solar power up to speed.

Be creative with your landscape lighting and try different ideas until you find what looks the best with your landscape scene.
